Membership Analytics and Reporting

Learn how to track membership performance, understand your key metrics, compare subscriber and non-subscriber behavior, and export enrollment data.

Membership Analytics and Reporting

Membership analytics helps you understand how your program is performing, how member behavior compares to non-members, and where to optimize for growth.

In Rivo, you can track this in two places:

  • Analytics > Memberships for detailed membership performance and tier reporting

  • Dashboard for quick subscriber vs non-subscriber comparisons





Where to Find Membership Reports

Membership analytics page

Go to Analytics > Memberships to view detailed membership metrics and charts.

At the top of the page, you can:

  • Select a date range

  • Add a comparison period ( No Comparison , Previous Period , or Previous Year )

By default, the view opens on All Time.

Dashboard comparison cards

Go to Dashboard and look for the Membership Program section.

This section shows side-by-side performance for:

  • AOV (Subscriber vs Non-subscriber)

  • Repeat Purchase Rate (Subscriber vs Non-subscriber)

  • Purchase Frequency (Subscriber vs Non-subscriber)





Key Membership Metrics

Membership Performance

On Analytics > Memberships , the Membership Performance section includes:

  • Customers In Tiers : Total customers currently in each membership tier, plus a tier-by-tier breakdown

  • Membership Revenue : Gross revenue from membership charges. This reflects billed membership amounts and does not factor in payment processor fees, refunds, or tax adjustments.

  • New Members Added : Current active paid members shown in this top summary card


Order Analytics (Trailing 12 Months)

The Order Analytics section includes trailing 12-month metrics:

  • Average Order Value (trailing 12m)

  • Repeat Purchase Rate (trailing 12m)

  • Average Purchase Frequency (trailing 12m)

These are shown as trend charts so you can monitor changes over time.

Member Behavior Analytics

This section includes:

  • Member Retention Rate

  • Member Churn Rate


Membership ROI Metrics

This section includes:

  • Membership Program ROI with an ROI breakdown

  • Member Lifetime Value


Membership Tier Performance

If your program has more than one membership tier, you’ll also see:

  • Members by Tier

  • Revenue by Tier





Data Availability and Sync Timing

If your analytics data is still being prepared, you’ll see a banner that says Processing your analytics data.

While data is processing:

  • Some charts and metrics may not be available yet

  • The page may appear blurred until processing completes

Once data processing is complete, your metrics will load normally.





Exporting Membership Enrollment Data (CSV)

You can export membership enrollment records from Settings > CSV Exports.

  1. Go to Settings > CSV Exports

  2. In Export Your Data , choose Membership Tier Enrollments as the Data Type

  3. Choose a Start Date and End Date

  4. (Optional) Enter a different email address for delivery

  5. Click Export Membership Tier Enrollments

Important details:

  • Date range is required

  • Start date must be on or before end date

  • Export files are emailed after processing

  • Large exports can take a few hours to process, and export requests are limited to one every 10 minutes

Tips for Better Reporting

  • Use Previous Period comparison to quickly spot week-over-week or month-over-month changes

  • Use Previous Year when checking seasonal trends

  • Review both the topline cards and trend charts before making changes

  • If you use multiple tiers, monitor Members by Tier and Revenue by Tier together to see where growth is concentrated





FAQ

Why do I see “Processing your analytics data”?

Your store’s analytics data is still being prepared. This usually happens when analytics is being generated or refreshed.

What does “New Members Added” mean?

The card reflects current active paid members.

Where do I compare members to non-members?

Use the Membership Program cards on Dashboard for side-by-side Subscriber vs Non-subscriber comparisons.

Can I export membership enrollments for custom date ranges?

Yes. Choose your own start and end dates in Settings > CSV Exports when exporting Membership Tier Enrollments.
