The VIP Program is a core feature of Rivo Loyalty & Referrals designed to further enrich your customer relationship dynamics. Through differentiating your most dedicated customers, a VIP program can enhance customer engagement and create an unparalleled shopping experience.
Why Run a VIP Program?
A great VIP Program extends beyond regular reward structures, unlocking an exclusive avenue of loyalty for your customers. Here's why it's crucial:
Encourages Higher Spending - VIP programs incentivize customers to reach higher spending thresholds to unlock exclusive benefits. This motivates increased purchases, driving your overall sales.
Enhances Customer Retention - By providing exclusive rewards and a sense of prestige, VIP programs foster stronger emotional connections, improving customer retention rates.
Boosts Customer Satisfaction - VIP programs can include tailored rewards and services, improving overall customer satisfaction and driving positive word-of-mouth.
Differentiates Your Brand - By offering a VIP program, you differentiate your business in a crowded market, giving customers more reasons to choose you over competitors.
Setting up an effective VIP Program with Rivo is straightforward, and there are numerous customization options to best fit your store's specific needs and use cases. Dive into the following sections to learn more.
An Overview of Rivo's VIP Program
At the heart of the VIP Program are the VIP Tiers—by default these are Bronze, Silver, and Gold—providing an escalating hierarchy of benefits for your customers. While these tiers come pre-set, they can be customized to align with your brand's aesthetics and philosophy. New customers join the program as a first-level tier member and enjoy progressive rewards as they ascend the ranks.
VIP Program Status
This toggle switch at the top of the page turns the program ON or OFF. Customers will not be able progress through tiers or view the program if this switch is toggled off.
VIP Tiers are the levels that your customers progress through in the VIP Program. You have the flexibility to add as many tiers as needed, with at least one being mandatory. The first tier, known as the base or entry-level tier, always has a goal of zero, since it serves as the starting point for all customers in the program. Each tier's name, goal to reach, rewards, and other details can be customized by clicking on 'Edit.'
Program Start Date
This setting dictates the commencement date for your VIP Program, the day from which points or purchases start contributing to progression through the VIP tiers. For instance, if a customer has accumulated 500 points (200 in January and 300 in March), and your Program Start Date is in February, only the 300 points earned from February onwards will count towards achieving the next VIP tier. Please note, we can only track customer activity from the moment the app has been installed onward.
This section allows you to define the criteria for how customers advance through VIP tiers.
Points Earned: Opt for this method if you want the progression through VIP tiers to be based on the total points earned by your customers through your Points Program. When you select this option, customers' progress through the VIP tiers is determined by the cumulative points they have earned.
Amount Spent: Choose this method if you wish for your VIP tiers to be determined by the total amount spent by your customers. Upon choosing this, VIP tier progression is tied to the overall expenditure of customers in your store.
Number of Orders Placed : Select this method to place customers onto VIP tiers based on the total number of orders they've made. This means that reaching a specific tier depends on how many orders a customer has placed.
This section allows you to specify the duration within which customers must achieve a VIP Tier.
A Lifetime: Choose this option if you want to give your customers an unlimited timeframe to reach the different VIP Tiers once they become members of your loyalty program. This approach offers a more generous and leisurely pace for your customers.
A Full Calendar Year: Select this if you want to set a time limit, with customers given until the end of the calendar year (December 31) from your Program Start Date to reach a VIP Tier. After this period, they reset to their current tier's starting point. Having a defined time limit can stimulate increased customer activity and engagement.
Can I change the entry level Tier minimum points?
No. All your new loyalty members will automatically start at the entry level tier which is set at zero.
Can I add less than 3 VIP tiers to my program?
Yes! However, the minimum number of Tier's that you'll need to have is 1.
How many Tiers should I add to my Loyalty Program?
As a general rule of thumb, using a simple 2-4 Tier program seems to be the most effective.
