Rivo offers two approaches to create your loyalty page: our newest Landing Page Builder using Shopify theme extensions, and our classic Page Builder. Both allow you to custom-design your loyalty page. This guide will help you design an effective loyalty page following Rivo's guidelines and understand your customization options.

A loyalty page is an essential part of any great customer loyalty program. Creating a well-designed loyalty and rewards page that showcases the benefits of your program and increases customer engagement with your brand is crucial for maximizing program enrollment and customer lifetime value. Your loyalty page serves as the central hub where customers learn about your program, understand earning opportunities, and get excited about available rewards.

Choosing Your Page Builder

Rivo offers two approaches to create your loyalty page:

Landing Page Builder (Recommended): Our newest solution leverages Shopify theme extensions, offering:

  • Direct customization within your Shopify theme editor

  • Better performance and load times

  • Superior compatibility with Shopify's infrastructure

  • No coding required

🔹 Classic Page Builder: Our original solution uses customization options within the Rivo dashboard.

The design principles in this guide apply to both approaches, helping you create an effective loyalty page regardless of which builder you choose.


Main Sections

Here's the lowdown on each section to help you create a killer loyalty page. These design principles apply to both our Landing Page Builder and Classic Page Builder approaches.

Note: Each section has a title and a subtitle that you can customize.

Hero

🔹 The hero/banner should be attention-grabbing and effectively convey the overall theme of the loyalty program.

  • Use high-quality images, preferably with a resolution of at least 1920 x 1080 pixels.

  • Include a clear and concise headline (maximum 60 characters) and a brief description (maximum 150 characters) that emphasize the benefits of joining the loyalty program.

  • Ensure that text is easily readable, with a minimum font size of 18 pixels.

  • Design the mobile version.

  • There are 2 views and you can write different copy for each:

    • Logged-out view

    • Logged-in view

  • There are 2 default buttons for each view and you can define different stylings for the primary and secondary buttons, as well as different text

    • Logged out view: Sign in / Join Now

    • Logged in view: Earn Points / Redeem Rewards

💡 Pro Tip: With our Landing Page Builder, you can customize the hero banner in the Shopify theme editor by adding the "Rivo: Hero Banner" app section and adjusting its Desktop and Mobile Text Container settings for an optimal experience on all devices.

How it Works

🔹 This section explains the steps customers need to take to join and participate in the loyalty program.

  • Limit the number of steps to a maximum of 3, with each step accompanied by a short description (maximum 100 characters)

    • Each step can display a number, but it’s not possible to add an image or an icon instead.

  • Use a consistent design and layout for each step to maintain visual coherence.

  • Ensure all text is easily readable, with a minimum font size of 16 pixels.

  • You can write whatever you want in this section. For example, instead of sharing 3 steps to join the program, you can explain the 3 benefits of the program

  • There are 2 views and you can write different copy for each:

    • Logged-out view: explains the 3 steps to join and participate in the loyalty program

    • Logged-in view: shows a table with the customer’s points and available rewards

💡 Pro Tip: With our Landing Page Builder, you can add custom images to each step in the "Rivo: How it Works" section through the Shopify theme editor, creating a more visually engaging experience.

Ways To Earn

🔹 This section highlights the different actions customers can take to earn points or rewards in the loyalty program, such as signing up, following on Instagram, placing an order, etc.

  • Design the number of actions displaying 2 to 5 items per row.

  • Limit the number of actions displayed to a maximum of 6.

  • Provide an icon or an image for each action, as well as a title and the number of points conquered for each.

    • Icons can be hidden on the loyalty page but we’ll need to add them anyway as they’re displayed in the widget.

Comprehensive Earning Opportunities

Rivo supports 30+ different ways customers can earn points. Here are the main categories:

Purchase-Based Earning

  • Order Placed: Points per dollar spent (e.g., "Earn 1 point for every $1 spent")

  • Product Purchases: Bonus points for specific products or collections

  • Minimum Order Bonuses: Extra points for orders above certain thresholds

  • VIP Tier Multipliers: Enhanced earning rates for higher-tier members

Engagement Activities

  • Account Creation: Welcome bonus for new member signups

  • Social Media Actions: Instagram follows, Facebook likes/shares, Twitter follows/shares, TikTok follows

  • Product Reviews: Points for leaving honest product reviews

  • Email/SMS Subscriptions: Bonus points for joining marketing lists

Ways To Redeem

🔹 This section showcases the various rewards customers can redeem through the loyalty program, such as free products, discounts, or exclusive access to events.

  • Design the number of actions displaying 2 to 5 items per row.

  • Provide an icon for each action and a title and description for each.

    • Icons ca

      n be hidden on the loyalty page but we’ll need to add them anyway as they’re displayed in the widget.

  • You can add buttons inside each card with a text no longer than “Redeem Now”.

  • Availability Status: Show which rewards customers can currently afford

Referrals

🔹 This section showcases the rewards customers can earn by referring friends or family members to the loyalty program.

  • Include a background image in the section.

  • You can customize the header, the input borders, and the button.

💡 Pro Tip: In our Landing Page Builder, you can specify which referral campaign to display by adding its unique ID in the "Referral Campaign ID" field of the "Rivo: Referral Campaign" section.


Custom Sections

You can also add custom sections to personalize your loyalty page further and address common customer questions and concerns, such as FAQs or VIP tiers.

Note: custom sections can only be added before or after the main sections, never in between.

VIP Tiers

🔹 This section explains how to showcase the benefits and requirements for each VIP tier in the loyalty program.

  • Limit the number of questions to a maximum of 4.

  • Consider using a table or cards to display the VIP Tiers.

  • Design the content to take up the full width, or in a two-column layout, with one column containing an image or other visual element, for example.

  • Provide an icon for each tier — you can hide them on the loyalty page, but the icons are required for the widget.

  • Limit the number of questions to a maximum of 10, with each question accompanied by a concise answer (maximum 200 characters).

  • Design the content to take up the full width, or in a two-column layout, with one column containing an image or other visual element, for example.

💡 Pro Tip: Consider adding 5-7 FAQs that address the most common customer questions about your loyalty program such as how to earn points, when rewards expire, and how to redeem points.
