How the Rebuy integration works

What is the Rebuy Integration?

The Rebuy integration transforms your cart into a loyalty touchpoint by embedding your Rivo loyalty points or credits directly inside the Rebuy Smart Cart.

This creates a seamless shopping experience by allowing customers to view their loyalty balance right when they’re most engaged during checkout.

How It Works

When a customer opens their cart via Rebuy’s Smart Cart, they’ll see their Rivo loyalty details displayed automatically. The integration includes:

  • Current balance – Shows the customer’s points or credits in bold, easy-to-read text.

  • Customer email – Confirms which loyalty account is being used.

  • Login prompt – For logged-out shoppers, the integration displays a friendly login message instead of points.

  • Dynamic program mode – The system automatically detects if your store uses Points Mode or Credits Mode and displays the correct balance label.

Setup Instructions

Before setting up, make sure:

  • You have both Rivo and Rebuy installed on your Shopify store.

  • Rebuy Smart Cart is active and configured.

Step 1: Install Rebuy Personalization Engine

  • Install the Rebuy Personalization Engine from the Shopify App Store.

Step 2: Add Rivo App to Rebuy Smart Cart

  • Log in to your Rebuy Dashboard.

  • Navigate to Smart Cart Settings.

  • Add the Rivo Loyalty App from the available integrations list.

Step 3: Configure in Rivo

  • In your Rivo admin dashboard, go to Integrations → More Integrations.

  • Select Rebuy to complete setup.

Customer Experience

Once configured, your customers will see their loyalty details automatically inside the Smart Cart:

  • Logged-in customers see their real-time balance.

  • Logged-out customers see a login prompt.

  • Display adapts to your program (points or credits).

  • The loyalty component is seamlessly styled to match your store’s branding.

Troubleshooting

If you don’t see the integration working:

  1. Verify Rebuy installation – Confirm Rebuy Personalization Engine is installed.

  2. Check Smart Cart settings – Ensure the Rivo app is added to your Smart Cart.

  3. Log in as a customer – The loyalty widget only appears for logged-in customers.

  4. Confirm Rivo program is active – Check that your loyalty program is enabled in Rivo.
