How to connect Rivo and PostPilot

Why use Rivo and PostPilot together? (via Klaviyo)

Loyalty and referrals are core to building retention. Direct mail supercharges those efforts, creating a surprise-and-delight moment that pairs perfectly with loyalty programs.

By connecting Rivo → Klaviyo → PostPilot, you can automatically send personalized postcards to customers based on loyalty activity, ensuring your retention program extends beyond email and SMS.

How the Integration Works

  1. Rivo → Klaviyo
    Rivo sends loyalty data into Klaviyo (points earned, VIP tier changes, redemptions, etc.).

  2. Klaviyo → Segments & Flows
    Klaviyo captures these events, letting you build segments or flows around Rivo triggers.

  3. Klaviyo → PostPilot
    PostPilot uses those Klaviyo segments or flows to send targeted direct mail automatically.

Rivo Events

Examples of loyalty-based events synced into Klaviyo:

  • Customer reaches a new VIP tier

  • Customer earns X points

  • Points about to expire

  • Customer redeems points or reaches a milestone

Campaign Ideas

  1. VIP Tier Upgrade

    • Trigger: Rivo → VIP Tier Changed

    • Action: Postcard congratulating them, with a gift code.

  2. Point Expiration Reminder

    • Trigger: Rivo → Points expiring soon

    • Action: Postcard urging redemption, with a special bonus offer.

  3. Reactivation

    • Trigger: Rivo → Inactivity or drop in earning

    • Action: Postcard with personalized message and bonus points to return.

  4. Referral Reward

    • Trigger: Rivo → Successful referral

    • Action: Thank-you postcard and referral tracking details.

Connecting Flows in Klaviyo

  1. Enable Rivo → Klaviyo

    • Go to Rivo settings, turn on Klaviyo integration.

    • Confirm Rivo events appear in Klaviyo (Profiles → Activity Feed).

  2. Create a Segment or Flow in Klaviyo

    • Example filter: “Has received event: VIP Tier Changed in the last 1 day.”

    • Name clearly, e.g., Rivo - VIP Tier 3.

  3. Sync with PostPilot

    • In PostPilot, sync the Klaviyo list/segment.

    • Set postcard creative, timing, and rules (e.g., 48-hour delay after tier change).

Personalization Options

PostPilot can pull in dynamic loyalty data, including:

  • Customer first name

  • Unique offer codes

  • Birthday

  • Loyalty tier or points balance (if passed through Klaviyo)
