Introduction

Links are the easiest way to promote your Loyalty and Rewards Program with just a click. You can add a link to menu items, buttons, texts, and anywhere that you would share a normal URL in order to boost customer engagement and encourage new sign-ups!

Strategic placement of loyalty links throughout your store can significantly increase program visibility, drive customer participation, and create multiple entry points to your rewards system. Whether you're guiding customers to a dedicated loyalty page or using deep links to open specific sections of your floating widget, well-placed links help showcase the value of your program.

Add links to your Dedicated Page

A dedicated loyalty page gives potential customers a central hub to learn about your Loyalty and Rewards Program benefits. By adding links to this page throughout your store, you create multiple opportunities for customers to discover your program and its value. Here are several ways to link to your dedicated page:

Have a page on your store where potential customers can land on and get to know more about your Loyalty and Rewards Program. If you haven't created a Dedicated Loyalty Page yet, please visit our guide here

Add links to your Floating Widget

The Floating Widget can be triggered by deep links (anchor links), which can be used just like any common URL. Deep links allow you to send customers directly to specific sections of your loyalty widget rather than just the home screen, creating a more targeted customer experience.

Here is the list of deep links available and the widget section they link to:

  • #ba-loyalty-home → The front page of the widget with an overview of points and status

  • #ba-loyalty-rewards → My Rewards section where customers can view reward history

  • #ba-loyalty-ways-to-earn → Ways to Earn section showing available point-earning activities

  • #ba-loyalty-redeem → Ways to Redeem section where customers can spend points

  • #ba-referral-program → The Referrals Program section with program information

  • #ba-referrals → My Referrals section for tracking referral activity

📝 Note: Deep links #ba-loyalty-home, #ba-loyalty-ways-to-earn, and #ba-loyalty-redeem only work with logged-in customers. For guests, these links will open the default Widget view.

You can add these anchor links to buttons, texts, navigation menus, and the announcement bar. You can even hide the Widget Button and have deep links to trigger the Floating Widget when they're clicked. Please read our tutorial on Using deep links to open and hide the Loyalty widget.

Special Parameters for Deep Links

You can enhance deep links with special URL parameters to direct customers to specific actions:

  • Referral Parameters - Add ?referral_code=YOUR_CODE to your URL to direct customers to sign up with a referral code

  • Example: mystore.com/?referral_code=FRIEND25#ba-loyalty-home

Best Practices for Using Links

Maximize the effectiveness of your loyalty program links with these strategic approaches:

  • Strategic placement - Add loyalty links to high-traffic areas of your store like the header, footer, and product pages

  • Clear call-to-action - Use descriptive text like "Earn Rewards" or "Join Our VIP Program" instead of generic "Click Here"

  • Targeted deep links - Direct customers to relevant sections based on context (e.g., link to "Ways to Earn" from product pages)

  • Mobile optimization - Consider using navigation menu links with deep links for mobile users if you've hidden the widget button

Common Questions

Can I track which links customers are using most often?

Yes! You can add UTM parameters to your links for tracking in Google Analytics. For example: mystore.com/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=summer#ba-loyalty-rewards

Can I customize the appearance of my floating widget when opened via links?

While the widget opens with the same appearance regardless of how it's accessed, you can customize its overall look using our Custom CSS options. See our guide on customizing the widget screen.

Why don't some deep links work for certain customers?

Some deep links require customers to be logged in to view personalized content. If a customer isn't logged in, they'll be directed to the default Widget view.
