This guide walks you through how to connect your Bazaarvoice reviews with Rivo, so customers automatically earn loyalty points whenever they leave a product review.

What is the Bazaarvoice Integration?

With this integration, customers who submit product reviews through Bazaarvoice can be rewarded with loyalty points in your Rivo program. It’s a simple way to encourage more reviews, build trust and social proof, and keep your loyalty members engaged.

Prerequisites

Before setting things up, make sure you have:

  • An active Bazaarvoice account with API access

  • The Rivo Loyalty Program enabled on your Shopify store

  • The Bazaarvoice Reviews & Photos app installed from the Shopify App Store

Setting Up the Integration

Step 1: Install the Bazaarvoice App

Download and install the Bazaarvoice Reviews & Photos app from the Shopify App Store.

Step 2: Connect Bazaarvoice in Rivo

  1. In your Rivo dashboard, go to Integrations.

  2. Scroll to the Reviews & UGC section and select Bazaarvoice.

  3. Enter your Bazaarvoice API credentials (API Key and Secret Key).

  4. Click Save to connect.

Step 3: Create an Earning Rule

Now, set up how points are awarded:

  1. Go to Loyalty > Ways to Earn in your Rivo dashboard.

  2. Add a new earning rule.

  3. Choose Integration Partner: Bazaarvoice.

  4. Set the trigger to Review Complete.

  5. Decide how many points customers earn per review.

How It Works

Once connected, the integration:

  • Syncs review data from Bazaarvoice.

  • Matches reviews to your customers based on their email address.

  • Automatically awards points according to your earning rule.

All of this happens in real time, so customers see their rewards immediately after leaving a review.

Managing the Integration

  • Check Status: From the Rivo dashboard under Integrations, you’ll see whether the Bazaarvoice connection is active.

  • Enable/Disable: Use the toggle switch to temporarily pause the integration without deleting your setup.

  • Remove Integration: Click Remove Integration if you want to fully disconnect Bazaarvoice from Rivo.

Troubleshooting

Here are some common issues and fixes:

  • Invalid API Credentials: Double-check your API key and secret key.

  • No Points Awarded: Make sure you’ve set up an earning rule for reviews.

  • Customer Not Found: Ensure the customer’s email in Bazaarvoice matches the email in your Shopify store.
