Customer Account Features

Rivo Accounts gives your customers one place to sign in, manage profile details, update preferences, and complete guided surveys.

This guide explains the key account features and where to configure each one in your Rivo admin.

What You Can Manage

With Rivo Accounts, you can set up:

  • Sign-in options (one-time code, optional Google, optional Shop, and optional alternate login paths)

  • Customer profile and shipping address management

  • Preference questions for customer data collection

  • Post-login surveys built from your preference questions

For a broader product overview, see Rivo Accounts Overview.

Sign-In and Access Options

Open Accounts > Account Widget to configure account access.

In Auth Services and Advanced Login Settings, you can control:

  • One-time code sign-in flow

  • Optional Google sign-in

  • Optional Shop login

  • Optional external login button and alternate login methods

  • Login text and consent settings shown to customers

Optional email-click auto-login

If your account is set up for email-click auto-login (commonly used with Klaviyo links), customers can be signed in automatically from supported campaign links.

If you want to enable or adjust this behavior, contact your Rivo support team.

For more authentication context, see Rivo Accounts Authentication Methods.

Profile and Address Management

Inside the customer account experience, shoppers can:

  • Update first name, last name, and phone number

  • Update marketing consent preferences (based on your enabled settings)

  • Add, edit, and delete shipping addresses

  • Set a default shipping address

Phone number updates are available when SMS profile fields are enabled in your account widget settings.

The sign-in email is displayed in profile, but it is not editable in the profile form.

Preference Questions

Go to Accounts > Preferences to create and manage preference questions.

You can create questions with different input types, including text, dropdown, checkbox, date, and number fields. You can also control whether each question is active.

When editing an existing preference question, the question type is fixed. If you need a different type, create a new question.

For a full walkthrough, see Customer Preferences.

Post-Login Surveys

Go to Accounts > Surveys to create survey flows from your preference questions.

When creating a survey, you can choose a trigger type:

  • Account Creation

  • URL Visited

  • Javascript Trigger

After creating a survey, you can:

  • Add preference questions to the flow

  • Reorder questions

  • Set the survey active or inactive

  • Share the survey URL handle when needed

Customers can move through the flow with Next and can skip individual questions if you allow it.

For setup details, see Post-Login Surveys.

Recommended Setup Order

  1. Configure sign-in options in Accounts > Account Widget.

  2. Set profile consent and legal text in widget settings.

  3. Create preference questions in Accounts > Preferences.

  4. Build surveys in Accounts > Surveys using those questions.

  5. Test the full customer flow on your storefront before rolling out.
