Photo Challenge: Daily Upload Limit

When using Rivo's photo challenge earning rules (such as receipt scanning or photo verification challenges), customers can upload photos to earn points. To maintain program integrity and prevent abuse, each challenge has a built-in daily upload limit.

✨ This applies to all photo challenge earning rules

How It Works

  • Customers can upload one photo per day for each photo challenge earning rule

  • The limit resets at the start of each calendar day

  • If a customer tries to upload a second photo for the same challenge on the same day, they will see the message: "Daily upload limit reached for this challenge"

Important Notes

  • Per-challenge limit – The daily limit applies per earning rule. If you have multiple photo challenge rules, customers can upload one photo per day for each rule

  • All states count – The limit applies regardless of whether previous uploads were approved, rejected, or still pending review

  • No merchant configuration needed – The one-upload-per-day limit is automatic and cannot be changed

Common Questions

Why is my customer seeing "Daily upload limit reached"?

The customer has already uploaded a photo for that specific challenge today. They can try again tomorrow after the daily limit resets.

Does the limit apply across all challenges?

No. The limit is per challenge. A customer with access to three different photo challenge earning rules could upload one photo for each of them on the same day.

What if a customer's photo was rejected – can they re-upload?

Not on the same day. The daily limit counts all uploads regardless of approval status. The customer can upload a new photo the following day.
