Introduction

There may be times when you have to do a manual adjustment of any of your customers' points balances. Whether you're adding points because they're awesome or subtracting points on a cancelled order, making adjustments to their balance can be done in a few easy steps.

Individual adjustment

  1. From the Dashboard, go to Customers.

  2. Click on the account that you want to adjust.

  3. Under the Loyalty Points section, click Edit balance.

  4. Enter the points manually on the given field.

  5. If you intend to deduct points instead of adding points, enter a negative number.

  6. Optional: Enter a reason for the adjustment. This will only be seen by you.

  7. Leave a comment that will be visible to the customer. You can use the default comment or create your own by choosing Custom comment.

  8. Once you are satisfied with your settings, click Adjust Points Balance.

  9. Wait a few seconds for the confirmation that the customer's points were updated.

  10. The updated loyalty points will then be visible in the customer's account.

Note: a customer's balance can not be edited when they are excluded. To edit their balance you'll need to un-exclude them first.

Bulk points update

This powerful feature allows you to adjust your customers' points balances all at once. It's a simple and effective way to celebrate a special occasion with your customers.

  1. From the dashboard, go to Customers

  2. Select your customers whose points you wish to update. You could sort the customers or use the filters.

    1. To select an individual customer, check the box by their name.

    2. To select a page of customers, check the box under the search bar that says '0 selected.'

    3. To select all your customers, check this box and click Select all 20+ customers in your store.

  3. Select More actions and click Bulk update points.

  4. Enter the amount you'd like to adjust by.

  5. Optional: Leave an internal comment for yourself and/or a customer-facing comment.

  6. Click Adjust Points Balance. Please allow some time for the balances to update.
