Setup Steps

  1. Find Rivo: Loyalty & Referrals in the Shopify App Store and install the app

  2. Once the app is open on the screen, start the onboarding

  3. In the third step, select Yes or No if you're switching from another app and click Continue

  4. Select your preferred Comfort level for setup

  5. Select when you would like to launch the loyalty program and click Lets Setup your Program!

  6. In the sixth step, Set the amount of points for the Sign up and Place an order ways to earn and click Continue

  7. The next step is to setup How Customers Spend Points or the ways customer can redeem points and Click Continue

  8. Click Great! Onwards to start the Loyalty & Referrals Program. You'll still be able to customize everything later

  9. Select the plan that suits you better to unlock advanced features or continue with the Free plan

  10. And that's it!

Frequently Asked Questions

What can Loyalty, Rewards & Referrals do for my store?

Loyalty, Rewards & Referrals will boost customer engagement with your store, increase conversions and help you build and nurture relationships with your customers! Use Loyalty, Rewards & Referrals to improve customer retention and reward returning customers with discounts or free products, increase your brand awareness and customer acquisition with referrals, and ensure your customer's success is your success!

The app isn't working for my store.

Please ensure that the following steps are complete:

  1. Customer accounts are enabled for your store in the Shopify admin settings. It can either be optional or required, depending on your preference.

  2. You have enabled at least one program.

Can I change the name of the Loyalty & Referral Programs?

Absolutely, you can change the title of both programs! To change the title of the Rewards Program please see our guide on this: Customize the header text.

You can change the title of the Referrals Program in the Translation section of the app:

Can I set an expiration for my points and rewards?

Yes! You can read more about this in our guide: Reward Expiration.

Is the app compatible with Shopify POS?

Yes! Customers can earn and spend points on in-store purchases. Please read more about this feature in our guide: Earn and spend points in store using Shopify POS.

Is the app compatible with multiple currencies?

Rivo Loyalty is compatible with your store's default currency only. The points that are awarded on completed orders will always correspond to the value of the order in your store's default currency. Even if you are using Shopify's Advanced plan, or Geolocation app to allow customers to checkout in their own currency, the points will be based on the order's value in your store's default currency.

Are taxes and shipping charges included when customers earn points?

This is the default behavior of the app but you can change this in Settings. Check out this guide for more.

Does the app work with draft order invoices?

If you have sent a customer a draft order invoice via email, this customer will earn points on this order when they checkout using the checkout link. The customer will need to have an account on your store. However, customers are not able to redeem their rewards on these types of orders. This is due to Shopify’s own limitations, as Shopify does not allow discount codes to be used on orders created as draft order invoices. This is noted in Shopify’s guide to draft orders here.

How do I uninstall?

You can simply delete the app from the list on your Shopify admin to uninstall it (Settings > Apps and sales channels). Uninstalling it from your apps list will completely remove the app from your store.

Can I modify the Rewards Program panel and choose the colors I want?

Absolutely! The Rewards Program panel is fully customizable. Check out our customization guides for more on this.

Can I set the placement of the Rewards Program panel?

Sure you can! The Rewards Program panel is set to appear on the right side of the page by default but you can move it anytime you want. Check out this guide to learn how.

Does this app work on mobile?

Yes, the app will work across all browsers including iOS and mobile setup.

Can the app give rewards to referrals and track their purchases as well?

Sure it can! You can enable a referral program within the app and create a rewards program for both the referring customers and their referred friends. To know more about this, check out our guide to the Referral Program.

Will this app work even if I change themes?

Yes, once your new theme goes live, changes will take place about 30-60 seconds after switching themes. You may also manually sync your settings by following the steps in our guide: How to sync new Settings.
